Anygraaf and Ylä-Satakunnan Sanomalehti Oy are excited to announce the renewal of the online service for the local newspaper Ylä-Satakunta, with the updated website scheduled to launch in early 2026.

The renewal focuses on enhancing mobile usability, improving accessibility, and supporting new ways of consuming digital content. Strengthening advertising capabilities and expanding advertising capacity remain central priorities.

This project marks another step in the long-standing partnership between Anygraaf and Ylä-Satakunnan Sanomalehti Oy, which began in 1998. In 2020, Ylä-Satakunta adopted a digital-first publishing model, introducing the current website—development has continued steadily ever since.

The organization now uses modern browser-based versions of AProfit, CProfit, and eNeo, while also investing heavily in multi-channel media sales. As part of the upcoming renewal, the eNeo editorial system will be enhanced with new AI-powered features, and subscribers will gain access to a new user account system designed to improve the management of subscription credentials.

We look forward to continuing this successful collaboration and delivering a modern, efficient, and future-ready digital experience for Ylä-Satakunta’s readers, advertisers, and editorial teams.

“Customer-provided wireframes and requests have given us an excellent foundation on which we have added our own vision of a new online service model for a local newspaper. The renewal centers on a user interface designed entirely for local newspaper needs, with mobile use and accessibility as top priorities. We use up-to-date HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS solutions as well as WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines,” says Anygraaf’s Product Line Manager Eeli Pulkkinen.

“Anygraaf has proven to be a reliable and development-oriented partner that listens carefully to ideas arising from the local newspaper environment. Both parties have a strong interest in the renewal, as digital distribution is expected to become the primary delivery channel for local newspapers over the site’s lifecycle,” says Jukka Huikko, CEO of Ylä-Satakunnan Sanomalehti Oy and Editor-in-Chief of Ylä-Satakunta.

“It is inspiring to develop a local newspaper’s online service concept from a clean slate, with mobile use leading the way. In the renewal, we are investing especially in usability and accessibility, and creating new solutions that suit modern reading habits. In addition, the service enables personalized reading experiences and makes use of AI to diversify journalistic content,” says Janne Ahramo from Anygraaf’s solution sales.
